Obedience

Obedience By Prof. Sabitu Olagoke

Prof 2Obedience has a socio-cultural significance in the life of every man at every point in time transactions or interpersonal relations.
Obedience as a subject matter cuts across all spheres of life.
At the divine level, prophets recorded to be successful in their missionary work to effect changes among mankind were charged to uphold the culture of obedience to God, Whose commandments they were charged to implement without fear or favor.
Their ability to stand by the accompanying rules of law as set out by God for the societies always strengthens them into a successful message delivery which always stands the test of time as eternal for all generations coming after them.
This is what upholds the sacredness of all the scriptures to date and it is equally a great yardstick against which human compliance with the dictates of God through the scriptures are evaluated for ease of the classification the state of the piety of adherents.
On the home front, God is seen as the overseer on the obedience rule of going about their assignments or responsibilities given to each member of the household.
Husbands who cannot care for their wives are regarded as been disobedient to God, so also poor parenting is a violation of having respect for the rule of law that expects parents to be responsible for the wellness or socio-spiritual care of their children or wards.

Obedience 1
At the workplace, there is always an administrative line of authority that is always structured to stand through ethics and obedience to the senior ones as leaders or superiors.
Disobeying their instructions may be counted as an act of insubordination, an offense punishable by the public or civil service rules.
In schools, pupils or students must obey the instruction of their teachers, while the teachers are not expected to bully the students.
Appointed or elected officials of government need to swear to the oath of allegiance to the nation by been obedient to the rules of law in the constitution.
When there is no synergy between governance and the provisions of the constitution, acts of disobedience sets in, which may snowball into unpleasant situations.
When the government does not obey court judgments the rule of law suffers. Obedience ensures that governance takes place without impediments.

Truth

I Fight to Defend Truth and Justice-Eze(Dr.)Anozie

Eze 6In Nigeria presently, the people desire leaders that shall inspire them in these challenging times.

But unfortunately, such leaders are yet to emerge. Indeed, a number of them have led their people astray to the extent that disillusionment, hopelessness and bitterness are now their lot.

In this interview with Federationews2day,the Ezendigbo of Ibadanand Oyo state,Eze(Dr.)AlexAnozie says tha his guiding light is truth and justice. Excerpts :

What is your philosophy of life ?

The first message on my philosophy of life and that is what has been guiding me is loving God, trusting God, and God alone.
This is in addition to loving my fellow human beings and my neighbors, irrespective of their religion, their ethnic affiliation, and their status in the society-rich or poor, literate or illiterate, I love everybody.
But those who are my best friends are those who believe in the truth and justice in every situation.
If I am confronted with any problem or worrisome situation with any individual, it is because I fight to defend truth and justice. These are the key ingredients that make up my philosophy of life.
In addition, I accord respect to everybody, irrespective of social or economic status, particularly when such a person is in that line of truth and justice. I respect such persons so much. Why, because before God, all of us are equal and everybody is important, even the foolish man or foolish woman is important, so I respect everybody. It may interest you to know that for the past 45 years or thereabout, I have been in this part of Nigeria, Ibadan, Oyo state, watching over my business and other areas, I cannot remember any day I had an exchange of dirty words with anybody, be it my friends, my neighbors, patients/customers. I cannot remember exchanging dirty words with anyone.

Truth 1
Everybody is free to make inquiries, whether I am saying the truth or telling lies.  It is not because I am perfect in all I do, because it is only God that is perfect in everything He does. It may be it is because I tolerate and endure reasonably enough. These are among the aspects that make up my philosophy of life.
philosophy of life.
And I think, one of the things that make this to be possible is that I always meditate on one of the commandments of God,  that states, 'Love Thy Neighbor as Thyself.'' So, I make sure that I put it into practice as much as possible.
And you know what, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob is my God. As He was God to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, so He is God to me. As He was God to Joseph, so He is God to me. As He was God to Moses, so He is God to me.  As He was God to King David, so He is God to me. As He was God to King Solomon, so He is God to me.
All these great men of God went through several travails, my travails are nearly similar to theirs.
However, one aspect that is very worrisome to me, is that human beings have transformed from the human beings they ought to be to something else. Human beings are now killing one another. Human beings are now destroying one another, to the extent that it seems that animals value life more than human beings do.
Quotes  By Eze(Dr.) Alex Anozie :
1)Do Good always. But, where you can do nod good, Do No Evil.
2)In every situation try to make a decision, for not taking any decision is another failure altogether.

3)Take risk only when there is no alternative.

4)The right time to do the right thing is all the time, then, all becomes well all the time

Sincerity

Sincerity by Prof. Sabitu Olagoke

Prof 2Sincerity is intensive in every human making us be enigmatic to others, who have every right to doubt our intentions until we prove not to be harmful to the situation and the society at large.
This is why in religious parlance, we do submit that we may err as human when we mistake intentions for actions because intentions are usually hidden, even when actions are the outbursts of real intentions.
There is a need to use the worth of one's sincerity in the relations ship we keep, starting from dating between two lovers, sincerity of purpose is better measured by the test of the time when it finally meets up with the desired goal by building up to the marriage level. Even though this may not be perfect as a tool of assessment, until the conditions for better or worse are maintained and sustained in the marriage, otherwise, the hidden intention of gold-digging, when uncovered may lead to the collapse of the love ridden voyage.
The sincerity of purpose is, therefore, a vital element that must be substantially present in the way we manage the integrity of our cultural setting, ethical values for our educational management, and moral discipline for our religious sector, as process line feeders to our political activities for the purpose of getting it right, when we assure positions of leadership and governance.Transfer Money with Wise
It is interesting to note that most of the gory killings through the instrument of hired assassins are borne out of truncating the sincerity of process line between two or more parties, who may resort to taking laws into their hands to seek costly vengeance over a perceived grievous height of disappointment by taking lives to settle the score.
At the educational management level, insincerity in the facility purchasing process usually leads to the dearth of experts in the needed areas and a lack of facility update to run the courses, despite the huge amount that might have been disbursed by the government, when dubious hands manage a system, economic sabotage in the name of corruption always truncates the expected due process required in purchasing materials.
Insincerity has a far-reaching effect of holding back a self, team, society, or nation, if not timely checked and curbed.

Sincerity 1

At the homefront,  between the husband and wife/wives, the children rearing process would ever suffer from producing future leaders who can deliver a nation from the challenges it may face.
At the political front, insincerity could lead to a game of deceit as it relates to leadership and followership, globally. The symptoms of this may become visible starting from the composition of people who may constitute the formation if they are people of unlike minds.
as they will flout the competitive law of addition and subtraction to make policy formation uniformity difficult to be established except through the game of deceit or insincerity, but as a threat to the future stability of such political parties.
Insincerity! Insincerity!  The fabric of the existence of a nation is always threatened through the culture of insincerity if the experiences of many components have folded up due to the workers' collaboration in bad practices against the will of the government or goodwill code of the Chief Executive Officer or Managing Director.
Generally, therefore, sincerity as freedom from hypocrisy and deceit must be seriously managed through organizational and professional ethics as well as the corporate governance code for the people's loyalty to the cause of the authority to be maintained and sustained as may be found to be possible in all developed nations that enjoy peace, justice and need fulfillment.

Old 2

Use Today to Prepare for the challenges of Old Age By Prof. Sabitu Olagoke

Prof 1There are three major segments of life worthy of consideration: childhood period and challenges of childbearing.

Prime age and challenges of wealth acquisition, while the third one should focus on management challenges of the problems associated with old age.

Parents are, therefore, challenged on the right of custody of the child through a safe and secured environment and effective provisions for physiological needs against the possible odd of peer group effect.

The growing child must have a good foundation of right and correct natural nurturing for him or her to be able to weather the storm of struggling to break even during his or her prime age in the voyage of acquiring wealth with the needed attendant wisdom to manage it. He or she must, therefore, shun the frustrating sides of life that may easily weaken the strong ones into a pathetic state of indolence.

However, for him or her to enter the stage of a senior citizen, he or she must be prepared to leave a legacy of self-sufficiency and good social interaction which are basic prerequisites for the comfort of old age.

The question now, is how prepared are we to overcome the problems of old age? We may not be able to achieve so much in this respect without enjoining the grace of divine intervention in our affairs.

The sermon for the present, therefore, for our spiritual diet is from Ecclesiastes 12: 1-5,''1Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them;

2While the sun, or the light, or the moon, or the stars, be not darkened, nor the clouds return after the rain:

3In the day when the keepers of the house shall tremble, and the strong men shall bow themselves, and the grinders cease because they are few, and those that look out of the windows be darkened,

4And the doors shall be shut in the streets, when the sound of the grinding is low, and he shall rise up at the voice of the bird, and all the daughters of musick shall be brought low;

5Also when they shall be afraid of that which is high, and fears shall be in the way, and the almond tree shall flourish, and the grasshopper shall be a burden, and desire shall fail: because man goeth to his long home, and the mourners go about the streets:''

The above worrisome description of old age emphasizes the inseparability of Science from Religion, Medical Science itself depends so much on Technology or process equipment.

All Disciplines, therefore, interlink for human usefulness.

Old 1

The Holy Quran equally emphasizes the need to be prepared, rightly, spiritually, socially, and medically, in particular, to monitor and manage well our growth profile for good.

The Holy Quran 30: 54 refers, ''It is Allah Who created you in a state of helpless weakness, then gave you strength after weakness(prime age) then, after strength gave you weakness and a hoary head: He creates whatever he wills, and it is He Who has all knowledge and power.''

The inferences of all these analyses are that we must allow our houses of God to be functional to benefit well the adherents for them to be Scripture Compliant, rather than been nominal deadwood. This is because, at every segment of our life development, there is a dire need for divine intervention which we must work for, for its realization. While the foundation of childhood care and prime-age caution is important, we must not neglect the need for every individual to overcome the problems of old age. Be wise.

God 5

Serve God from When Young-Prof, Sabitu Olagoke

Prof 1General lack of been scripture compliance in worshipping God in almost every religion is responsible for adherents' inability to commune with God for timely intervention in the affairs of man, this is because, in every religion, there is a water bed level for God and Godliness, where the divine endowment is inexhaustible.

Unfortunately, adherents of religion treat the process of worship on the surface level of mere social or material level of religion's existence. This is why it is advisable to teach our children from the cradle, the essence of a Godly life and the need to live by the spirit to be rightly led into the process of making the right decisions.

It is therefore essential that we serve God right from the period of puberty and adolescence, at our young age for us to be endowed with a high degree of religiosity.

Ecclesiastes 11: 9-10 admonishes all of us on this, '' 9 Rejoice, O young man, in thy youth; and let thy heart cheer thee in the days of thy youth, and walk in the ways of thine heart, and in the sight of thine eyes: but know thou, that for all these things God will bring thee into judgment.

10 Therefore remove sorrow from thy heart, and put away evil from thy flesh: for childhood and youth are vanity.''

God 6

In this direction, the Holy Quran 91: 7-10, shows all the best way to live through the need for body preservation from sins and crimes and soul purification from devilish thought processes. ''By the Soul and the proportion and order given to eat; and its inspiration as its wrong and its right;-truly succeeds that purifies it and it fails that corrupts it.''

Young people must be given the right orientation that spans empowerment essence and correct behavioral checks as demonstrated by a holy man presented and regarded as an epitome of good parenting in the Holy Quran 31: 17-19, ''O my son establish what is just and forbid what is wrong: and bear with patient constancy whatever betides thee; for this is the firmness of purpose in the conduct of affairs and swells not thy cheek for pride at men. Nor walk in insolence through the heart: for Allah loveth not any arrogant boaster. And be moderate in thy pace and lower thy voice; for the harshest of sands, without doubt, is the brain of the ass.''

Using the quoted scriptures to assess every home and parenting method makes yesterday to be easy to manage, peaceful and prosperous because of the environment of discipline and ethical guides at home and at the places of work. However, today the same measure of assessment would show our society to be a caricature of itself because of the attitudinal lapses into human frivolities and waywardness as a result of the present climate of constitutional indiscipline and lack of zero tolerance to corruption.

There is, therefore, the need for all of us to uphold the principle and culture of good parenting, whereby parents play the role model to prevent the children, most especially, the young ones in the adolescent stages from swimming in moral rot for us to be able to process them into the objective goal of making them be reliable and dependable future leaders. No jot of the words of God must be trivialized for religion to be potent in giving our young ones fertile growth of knowledge, wisdom, and the power of the discerning mind to be able to make the right decisions at the right time.

Mas 1

Physiological Needs and Governance By Prof. Sabitu Olagoke

Prof 1Nigeria began to face the challenges of physiological needs since 1973 when the government of the day resorted to importing rice and cassava to make up for the production seeming lapses as it began to affect our Gross Domestic Product and exporting index with regards to agricultural proceed need will essentially spread to all spheres of human need.
Our neglect of the agriculture sector, particularly, forestry, livestock, and farm produce as we diversified with 80 percent focus on oil brought in the era of urbanization, but minus rural integration.
Unfortunately, the urban cities were not well managed and there was a mass drift of the people from the villages to overpopulate the yet-to-be-standard urban cities, thereby causing overcrowding for emerging diseases to surface.
Merit considerations and the dignity of labor no longer exists, rather nepotism is the trend.

Mas
In a general term, Maslow's hierarchy of needs becomes difficult to operationalize in rearing children, natural nurturing of adolescents, and self-desire realization for the society to benefit from the ripple effect on our growth and development profile which is presently poor, making Nigeria become a mere talk shop rather than a place where we walk the talk. The foundation of Maslow's hierarchy of needs is physiological needs spreading over food, clothing, and shelter. The country's hides and skin industry has gone into extinction, same goes for the paper industry. Presently, the country imports toothpicks.
The refineries are non-functional, that is why the subsidy challenge persists. The education sector remains underfunded when compared with the benchmark  OF 26 percent specified by UNESCO.
This is trailed by a high rate of unemployment and insecurity. The re is also the issue of obsolete and deteriorated facilities.
Let the government work for the society to imbibe the message of the focus of several opinion leaders.

Nation

Stop Sharp Practices By Prof. Sabitu Olagoke

Prof 1The root cause of many nations failing is due to various sharp practices of their people which their various governments failed to control.

It becomes a matter of serious concern when such dastardly acts get to a crescendo in the 21st century, creating a wide gap of regime between the elite culture of kleptocracy and the hurt dividend of poverty, even under a democratic political concept where justice ad equity is Germaine to the realization of peace, security, and sustainable development, in all Ministries, Departments, and Agencies. Nepotism dominates the strategic process of employment to the detriment of merit, productivity, and profitability. It is worrisome to note that the religious sector is passive, even though it is crucial to the restoration of sanity in the polity. The question now is how far have we fared in learning to be disciplined and trustworthy from messages of experiences in history as well as from the scriptural texts upholding our religious beliefs.

From the biblical perspective, the story of Hanninas and Sapphira is enough for people to shun acts of corruption. Acts 5: 1-11 refers,'' But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession,

2 And kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, and brought a certain part, and laid it at the apostles' feet.

3 But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost and to keep back part of the price of the land?

4 Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.

5 And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost: and great fear came on all them that heard these things.

6 And the young men arose, wound him up, and carried him out, and buried him.

7 And it was about the space of three hours after, when his wife, not knowing what was done, came in.

8 And Peter answered unto her, Tell me whether ye sold the land for so much? And she said, Yea, for so much.

9 Then Peter said unto her, How is it that ye have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? behold, the feet of them which have buried thy husband are at the door, and shall carry thee out.

10 Then fell she down straightway at his feet, and yielded up the ghost: and the young men came in, and found her dead, and, carrying her forth, buried her by her husband.

11 And great fear came upon all the church, and upon as many, as heard these things.''

Similarly, the Holy Quran 5: 62-63 refers,'' Many of them dost thou see raising each other in sin and transgression and their eating of things forbidden. Evil, indeed, is the things they do.''

Nation 1

In the scheme of restoring sanity into our national life, our houses of God have been made mere puns in the hands of the dubious political environment, making the nations head towards the precipice.

The chaotic situation of several nations today, such as Nigeria, suits prophetic observations as contained above. This is why religious leaders and the Doctors of Law need to do the required, so as not to bear the brunt of all the misdemeanor and sacrileges been perpetrated by the people in their heights of ignorance.

''Why do not the Rabbis and the Doctors of Law forbid them from their habit of altering sinful words and eating things forbidden? Evil indeed is, let us all their works.''

As stakeholders, let us all stop sharp practices to promote the unity, peace, and development of our nation, Nigeria.

Ramadan Fast(Daily Guide)By Prof. Sabitu Olagoke

Prof 1Monday, May 3rd
The last 10 days of the Ramadan fast are regarded as the pathway to Janat or paradise. The period, for all Muslims, demands a sober reflection from all adherents on if they have been able to target the goal of the fear of God as expected of the almighty Allah for one to be wholesome with fruitful labor worthy of harvesting.
Let us, therefore, enter this last voyage in the Ramadan fats with the statement of the objective of the retreat or Itikaf(Holy Quran 18: 10)
''Behold the youths betook themselves to the Cafe: They said,'' Our Lord! Bestow on us mercy  from thyself and dispose of our affair for us in the right way !'' Ramadan Mubarak.
   Tuesday, May 4th
Be reminded that Allah hath made clear His signs to men in this month of Ramadan that we may learn self-restraint. For example, the Holy Quran 2: 187 talked about the limit set by Allah during Itikaf or retreat period that we must not approach or associate with our wives while we are in the retreat in the mosque. The use of vulgar language is equally prohibited. For example, in the Holy Quran 29: 45, we are admonished to recite what is sent of the book by inspiration to the Holy Prophet Muhammad, that is the Holy Quran and  ''establish regular Prayer: For example, For prayer must restrain from shameful and evil deeds; and remembrance of Allah is the greatest thing in life without a doubt. And Allah knows the deeds that you do(ever monitoring). Follow this strictly during the Itikaf period. Ramadan Mubarak.

Benefits
Wednesday, May 5th
Be reminded of the fact that the essence of your participation in the Ramadan fast is to reform you into a state of piety for you to be able to live exemplary lifestyles. Be reminded also,  God wants you to complete the prescribed period and to glorify Him, in that He has guided you: and perchance ye shall be grateful. (Holy Quran 2: 185). A complete assignment diligently and thoroughly done by every adherent shall be fully rewarded. Avoid games of deceit or unwarranted shortcut practices. Ramadan Mubarak.
Thursday, May 6th
Be reminded that fasting is for a  fixed number of days; but if any of you is ill or on a fatigue-driven journey, the prescribed number should be made up from this later. For those who can afford atonement for this is a Ransome, the feeding of one that is indigent, but that he will give more of his own free will,- it is better for him. However, the best option that is better for you is to observe the prescribed 29 or 30 days as an annual event. The Almighty Allah will make us hale and hearty to be able to observe the Ramadan fast as an act of Ibaadah. Ramadan Mubarak.
Friday, May 7th
The glorious with joy that you are a Muslim and an active participant in the class sessions of the Ramadan fast period, be equally reminded that Allah intends every facility for you; He does not want to put you in difficulties. Surgical operations are not for the purpose of afflicting patients, but to relive and heal them.
In this wise, make use of the Ramadan period to arrest and tame the wildness of the evening times and judiciously use the Holy Quran as your guide for socio-spiritual maturation in body preservation from sins and soul purification from devilish thought processes. Avoid occultism, wizardry, witchcraft, and sorcery, but uphold the concept of holiness for Allah the Almighty God.

Pa 2

Patience

Prof 1Patience is a virtue of socio-spiritual importance that has direct bearing to correct attitudinal responses to certain reactions that may be considered to be hurtful to the person without exhibiting any form of overreactions or fire for fire approach to issues.
It is a characteristic of maintaining calmness even in the height of provocation, such people with this kind of character always develop high resilience to any circumstance that may be meant to disturb their psychological being.
Patience is a therapy that can effectively manage people's overbearing towards one in order that one does not fall into the pit of misbehavior or any form of a misdemeanor.
However, this does not encourage a state of docility whereby one's fundamental human rights are being trampled upon without the ability to correct the situation.
Patience in this circumstance demands that the state of calmness is maintained while strategic methods are been developed and applied to resolve possible conflict of opinions in a way that oppressors would heed the voice of wisdom to avoid things from falling apart.Pa
Most of our experiences in life which usually snowball into violence or insurgence have been traced to the leaders or handlers of messy situations to lack the wherewithal or patience.
Agitations and the expression of grievances are natural phenomena that can easily be overcome by leaders with listening ears and passion for the wellness, safety, and security of their people under the culture of patience and integrity.
The best leaders in life are those who can still keep their calm in the face of agitations while working at the same time to douse the tension and do the needful such as providing the missing links.
A leader must be able to endure unpleasant situations without annoyance, to show understanding of the psyche of the people.
They must equally be tolerant even under distress while remaining focused on the sources of the people's agitation as well as using the retinue of the experts around them to provide and supply the people based on their demands and their needs.
Patience easily regulates and controls the emotional outbursts of people for their body systems not to be biologically disturned because in the height of provocation and emotional outbursts, forced hormonal discharges may need to be detoxified by patience therapy.

Pa 1
Various problems on the ground always emanate from the psychological need challenges whereby people's anxieties are raised, when the denial of access for the body wellness need or cause.
This is when we have food insecurity, shelter inadequacy, and clothing for weather or environment security.
Maslow's hierarchy of needs covers the whole cycle of child-rearing to a nature nurturing need point.
When the elements of physiological need, safety and security, social need, self-esteem, and self-actualization cannot be met, people may become impatient under the system of a survival need.
Patience in this wise needs to be built while pressures should be mounted on the leaders for adequate provision with strategic plans and effective dialogue process without abuse or hate speech for the leaders' patience not to be triggered into annoyance otherwise, the goal may be missed.
The culture of patience, therefore, is Germaine from the governed and the leaders to be able to have an enabling environment of peace for all these apparatus of governance to operate well. At the homefront, it is only through patience that children can be reared rightly, while patience is equally highly significant in the operations of governance. Patience is equally a powerful tool to drive through the culture of the dignity of labor, due process in purchase transactions as well as in being morally disciplined enough not to be tempted into the spoils of office, otherwise, the quick money-making syndrome may influence one to be corrupt.
Patience is borne by love, truth, and a sense of objectivity to be rightly accountable without fear after every exercise of the day's work.
Be patient and hardworking for sustainable wealth that is bequeathable to be yours.

A Wise Person and a Foolish Person

Prof 1Most often one wonders why the religious sphere is usually full of ort at the expense of producing adherents with credible leadership traits for the society to enjoy.

People with the fear of God will be able to use due process in going about social advancement for development through the demand for administration, management, and good governance for a well-ordered society.

One equally wonders why the Judiciary is not promoting the culture of justice and impactful life of truth for all the machinery of social operations not to be corrupted.

Why is it that people who voted for a change are not reaping the fruits of their commitment at the polls, in the legislative arm of government with the recurring decimal of policymaking without impact to affect a positive change in the lives of the people?

Wonders shall never end when people reap the dividends of democracy as policy somersaults and poor policy implementation by the people who constitute the executive arm of government.

If the head is sick the whole body feels the ache of ill health.

Life

This is the plight of a nation with so much material and human resources, have its people in their daily cries due to hunger in the climate of poverty through consequential attendance of uncontrollable corrupt practices and 92 percent poverty index, such as the case of Nigeria in the 21st century.

The solution to this problem lies in tracing the causes with a positive mindset of correcting the weaknesses.

The Holy Bible Matthew 7: 24-27, ''24Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:25And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. 26And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: 27And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house, and it fell: and great was the fall of it. ''

A scenario of hunger and poverty amidst plenty of resources-human and material bothers on the non-functionality of education, formal and informal as well as a misplaced order of priority in the houses of God whereby religious leaders are not scripture compliant.

This thereby reflects in the general attitude of religious leaders that produce people into the market of political activities.

aThe position of the Holy Quran on this is assertive.

10: 36,'' But most of them follow nothing but conjecture: truly conjecture can be of no avail against Truth. Verily Allah is well aware of all that they do.''

Many developing nations suffer so much under their leaders as a result of the above-mentioned illness in areas of knowledge acquisition to produce expertise in the various areas of disciplines of human endeavor.

Various ills of the society as aptly summarized by the Holy Quran 5: 62-63 has become culturally endemic, making the land have a gory picture of disabled people in the hands of wicked leaders that daily dehumanize them into a risky region that threatens all investors, indigenous or foreign because of the fear of safety and security of the environment.

''Many of them dost thou see rasing each other in sin and transgression and their eating of things forbidden(corruption). Evil indeed is the things that they do.''

This is why the land can aptly be described through the submissions of the Holy Quran 30: 41-42.

''Mischief has appeared on land, sea, and air because of the need that the hands of men earned that Allah may give them a taste of some of their deeds: in order that they may turn back from evil.

Say:'' Travel through the earth and see what was the End of those before you: Most of them were idolators(frivolous and wayward).''

The description of 21st-century human behavior goes beyond the realm of scarsm, which neither calls for derisive laughter nor object of neglect, but instead calls for a sober reflection for leaders of thought to beyond rhetoric of effecting changes.

The Holy Quran 25: 44 is now food for thought to continually ponder on calling for a drastic change from a lukewarm attitude to that of sense and sensibilities.

''Or thinkest thou but most of them listen or understand? They are only like cattle,-nay, they are farther astray from the way.''

Those who have ears must listen and hear the words to operationalize on it for a positive change of attitude for better world order.

In this context, I stand by the submission of the Holy Quran 30: 43-44. ''But set thou thy face to the right Religion, before there come from Allah the Day which there is no chance of averting: on that Day shall men be divided into two. Those who rejected faith will suffer from that rejection: and those who walk righteousness will make provisions for themselves(in Heaven).

Let's right our present history of foolishness, but be wise enough to generate a fruitful future based on truth as a bequeathable legacy to our immediate future generation.

Tomorrow may be too late. Believe this and accept the truth today.

People, Politics and Popularity

Prof 1Enrichment through the dignity of labor is no more, opening a pandora's box of self-enrichment through dubious means.

Even within the rank and file of the religious people, the culture of the sacredness of the scriptures is now been replaced with the embarrassing article of profanity. Many unprintable acts now dominate the houses of God as if there are no religious leaders.

Leaders have failed to be role models, even in the political and governance circles. The mirror image of evil is daily reflecting in the society charging the environment into the various forms of insecurity to the level of institutional indiscipline and moral debasement affecting the lives of every individual as if to neutralize and legitimize illegalities and illegitimacy for corrupt practices to become endemic.

The fear of the future of the been borne and the youth been looked up to as the leaders of the immediate tomorrow is no more sounding well in the ears of the elderly ones including those holding power of authority, influence, and affluence. The political class holding forth in trust, the reigns of power for the people's wealth to be equitably distributed have equally lost the bearing for the focus of service, leaving people to reap the bitter fruit of poverty as the dividends of democracy. This is because most of the leaders live false lives, usually sustained through propaganda.

However, the Holy Quran 3: 188-189 sounds a note of warning for every living soul to turn a new leaf.

''Think not that those who exalt in what they have brought about and loved to be praised for what they have not done,-Think not that they can escape Chastisement. For them, it is a Chasitement grievous indeed. To Allah belongeth the dominion of the heavens and the earth; and Allah hath power over all things''.

Apart from the politicians, the traditional rulers, as well as the religious leaders, must take a cue from this, this is because in our interpersonal relationship leading to socio-economic activities against the backdrop of the environment, people, politics, and personal desire for popularity, have fundamental sociological factors of correlation which must be worked on to better the lote of the people and enhance the socio-spiritual status of humanity.

The Holy Bible Ecclesiastes 4: 13-16, proverbially challenge us to follow the path of honor in all our dealings and to heed the voice of wisdom of God to perfect our ways in decision making.

'' 13 Better is a poor and a wise child than an old and foolish king, who will no more be admonished.

14For out of prison he cometh to reign; whereas also he that is born in his kingdom becometh poor.

15I considered all the living which walk under the sun, with the second child that shall stand up in his stead.

16There is no end of all the people, even of all that have been before them: they also that come after shall not rejoice in him. Surely this also is vanity and vexation of spirit.''

The Holy Bible further states in Ecclesiastes 5: 1 ''Keep thy foot when thou goest to the house of God, and be more ready to hear, than to give the sacrifice of fools: for they consider not that they do evil.''

Popu

The Holy Quran also gives a set standard based on the charges given to David when he assumed the throne of governance. We can emulate this.

Holy Quran 38: 26 refers, '' Oh David! we indeed make thee a vicegerent on earth. So judge thou between men in truth and justice: nor follow thou t the lust of thy earth for it will mislead thee from the Path of Allah : For those who wander astray from the Path of Allah is chastisement grievous, for that they forget the Day of Account.''

The fear of God is Germaine for the leaders and the followers to achieve excellently well on the essence of true followership for good leadership. Self-desired will ever derail even the wisest king from governing without default hence such people may end up as failures under whom the people's lives would be endangered and the nation to suffer from the timeline of stress, frustration, and depression.

This must, therefore, be avoided for the nation and the people to be ranked high in the human development index evaluation and happiness perception index. Stop derailing from the track of honor while channeling the cause of democracy to advance development for the people.

Pope

Wealth does not bring Happiness

Pope 1The poor would always have cause to cry because most of them live in poverty amidst plenty of resources if not that they are helpless to fight and win the cause of been denied their rights.
However, the rich also cry because wealth does not bring happiness. The only key to having respite is for the rich to recognize and implement the ned to distribute equitably among the poor through strategic empowerment programs using a due process without any element of bias.
The trio of such a rich person, the beneficiaries of his bounties of distributed resources, and the community or society at large would not only enjoy the much-desired tranquility of the mind as well as a safe and secured environment for the society.
Let us look at the Holy Bible on the concept of philanthropy with strategic empowerment programs on the ground as an antidote to the rich to avoid trials of sadness with riches.
Ecclesiastes 6:1-9, '' There is an evil which I have seen under the sun, and it is common among men:
2 A man to whom God hath given riches, wealth, and honor, so that he wanteth nothing for his soul of all that he desireth, yet God giveth him not power to eat thereof, but a stranger eateth it: this is vanity, and it is an evil disease.
3 If a man beget an hundred children, and live many years, so that the days of his years be many, and his soul be not filled with good, and also that he have no burial; I say, that an untimely birth is better than he.
4 For he cometh in with vanity, and departeth in darkness, and his name shall be covered with darkness.
5 Moreover he hath not seen the sun, nor known any thing: this hath more rest than the other.
6 Yea, though he live a thousand years twice told, yet hath he seen no good: do not all go to one place?
7 All the labour of man is for his mouth, and yet the appetite is not filled.
8 For what hath the wise more than the fool? what hath the poor, that knoweth to walk before the living?
9 Better is the sight of the eyes than the wandering of the desire: this is also vanity and vexation of spirit.''
The above implies that the rich would cry, therefore because of their state of insatiability, chasing shadows of life without been contented with what is in his hands, no matter the level of his hands, no matter the level of his riches and the height of his status in the society.
In corroboration of the submission of the Holy Bible, the Holy Quran teaches the rich and all religious leaders to dwell their emphasis on the sterling qualities of exemplary lifestyles and prudence in spending.
The Holy Quran 8: 63-64 will therefore be our point of reference to avoid situations of creating an environment whereby the wealth would not be able to bring happiness.
(8:63) and joined their hearts. Had you given away all the riches of the earth you could not have joined their hearts, but it is Allah Who joined their hearts.46 Indeed He is All-Mighty. All-Wise. (8:64) O Prophet! Allah is sufficient for you and the believers who follow you.''

Wealth can't buy Happiness

Prof 1All nations are blessed with abundant resources for individual upkeep and national strength and prosperity for the purpose of having peace, a safe and secured environment through sustainable development.

However, nations are classified as strong or weak based on the strength of their human capital, and governance with various indicators of economic development for a reality check. The resultant classification results will equally reflect on the nation through the human development index which is always rated low for poor nations due to the poor administration and management of their resources among their people through the standard levels of nutrition content, health sector facility challenges for the wellness level of the people.

In such a nation when the government is not forthcoming through good governance, the nation is divided into the two extreme regimes of the poverty line and kleptocracy divide. Such a society or nation would ever be characterized by diseases, hunger, poverty, moral decadence, indiscipline, and corruption.

The right solution prescribed by God, through all the scriptures is the promotion of the culture of integrity and philanthropy-whereby the poor will be able to bask in the glory of the rich.

Let us realize that wealth cannot buy happiness.

Ecclesiastes 5: 10-14,'' Better is it that thou shouldest not vow, than that thou shouldest vow and not pay.

6Suffer, not thy mouth to cause thy flesh to sin; neither say thou before the angel, that it was an error: wherefore should God be angry at thy voice, and destroy the work of thine hands?

7For in the multitude of dreams and many words there are also divers vanities: but fear thou, God.

8If thou seest the oppression of the poor, and violent perverting of judgment and justice in a province, marvel not at the matter: for he that is higher than the highest regardeth; and there be higher than they.

9Moreover the profit of the earth is for all: the king himself is served by the field.

10He that loveth silver shall not be satisfied with silver, nor he that loveth abundance with increase: this is also vanity.

11When goods increase, they are increased that eat them: and what good is there to the owners thereof, saving the beholding of them with their eyes?

12The sleep of a labouring man is sweet, whether he eat little or much: but the abundance of the rich will not suffer him to sleep.

13There is a sore evil which I have seen under the sun, namely, riches kept for the owners thereof to their hurt.

14But those riches perish by evil travail: and he begetteth a son, and there is nothing in his hand.''

This is to prove that wealth can't buy happiness except a life of modesty that respects and upholds the concept of the dignity of labor.

He hardly worries to cheat because he is contented with a direct focus on how best to satisfy the demand of God through love and just worship.

In the same vein, the Holy Quran 13: 26-29 admonishes us to be at peace with ourselves through the divine content of self-satisfaction.

''Allah doth enlarge, or grant by strict measure, the Sustenance which he giveth to whom so he pleaseth(dignity of labor, without corruption). The worldly rejoice in the life of this world(by the wealthy people make them forget to serve accordingly the wretched souls that call on God for survival): But the life of this world is but little comfort compared to the hereafter. The Unbelievers say: 'Why is not a sign(abundance of wealth for display)sent down to him from his Lord?' Say:' Truly Allah liveth, to stray, whom He will: but he guided to Himself those who turn to Him in penitence. Those who believe and whose hearts find satisfaction in the remembrance of Allah: For without doubt, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find satisfaction. For those who believe and work righteousness, is every blessedness and a beautiful place of final return.''

Our craze for materialism without consideration for equity in distribution to the very areas of people' needs aptly describes us as crazy people driving against the wheel of their creator as we engage in mutual rivalry for piling up the good things of this world that will automatically divert us from the more serious things that are of major concern to God the almighty Allah.

Vanity upon vanity, until such people visit their graves.

Life without impact on others is devoid of God's grace, let us as from today, promote the culture of integrity, dignity of labor, and philanthropy for the society to feel our impact as rich people in order that there are peace and sustainable development. This is only a bequeathable legacy to the upcoming generation for posterity to judge us aright.

Peace

The Essence of Peace

Prof 1Peace has intrinsic and extrinsic value worth, fundamentally when the physiological need is met by an individual, he would be at peace with himself, this is when he could lay claim to having the tranquility of the mind.
However, inner peace may have truncated when the environment turns hostile. This is when the security of the environment is threatened for man to live in fear, if not running helter-skelter to get a safe environment for habitation. This applies to the various situation in the home, community, society at large, and the nation.
On the home front, the leadership question becomes an issue of paramount importance hence the need to have a family head, who will charismatic enough to protect, provide, and defend the cause of all the family members.
For the nation, leadership spans through the local community the state, and the country with the executive functions on the issue of peace, social justice, and accelerated development to be respectively by the Local Government Chairman, the State Governor, and  Mr. President.
The leadership question is, therefore, the bedrock of governance, this is why the emphasis is always on credibility, competence, good attitudinal values towards work ethics, and characteristic value of timely response to people's yearnings and demands.
Governance, therefore, needs to be seen through the perspective of credible leadership for result-oriented activities of appointed or elected leaders in governance to be able to effect peace within and around the environment most especially in the areas of jurisdiction spanning our specific and particular geographical contraption.
Amalgamation in several nations did not consider the necessary factors of emotional outbursts that may emanate from the fusion of people of different tribes and ethnic leanings which naturally is expected to be characterized by different ways of perceiving the same issues.

Ps

Peace is sacrosanct to mutual existence, this is why from the religious perspective the fear of the creator to check our excesses and the keeping of good neighborliness become highly significant as a code of exemplary lifestyles which the environment of governance needs to grow and succeed.
To the people generally, there is always a need for credible leadership, starting from the homefront to the government level to drive the affairs of the people into rational, socio-economic buoyancy to have a virile nation in which people's wellness is taken care of to be able to have a prosperous nation.
The essence of education is to empower the people to be strong and viable enough to articulate human and material resources justly into harnessing enough power to transform erstwhile arid land into a fertile one that would be a characteristic of a well-developed nation while doing this, the people must be mindful of possible internal wranglings and external aggression.
Governance demands rulership by conscience and that the government activities must be problem-solving for the people to be at peace with themselves.
Leaders, therefore, must not only be visionary but must be ready to sacrifice their pleasure in walking the talk for the people to live well in esteem.
Leaders must, therefore, garner sufficient experience in the areas of political science, administration, and management.
Leadership credibility at the same time must span through the regimes of moral discipline, integrity, transparency, loyalty without insubordination, accountability to be able to play the role model of a total personality in the areas of prudent spending and high sense of forgiveness, philanthropy, and altruistic philosophy.
With all these qualities in place, the factors of safety and security must have been entrenched for the peace need to be naturally and strongly idolized into our cultural psyche.
When a nation and its people are able to adopt and adapt all these concepts in governance, the objective of democracy as a government of the people, by the people, and for the people would have been met because nobody would have any cause to steal other people's property or possess what does not necessarily belong to them.
Justice and equity will ever supply peace and sustainable development, provided we allow divine interventions to direct the affairs of a nation through the adoption of the concept of a positive mindset.
All these must be made to function in our teaching and learning methodology spanning through our awareness and consciousness about our culture, proper orientation in our educational revolution, and functional religious activities that are value-laden into adherents' good state of scripture compliance.
Products of these three spheres of life will, undoubtedly, imbibe the culture of integrity, moral discipline, body preservation from sins and crimes, and soul purification from devilish thought processes in our political affairs for our politicians to give us good governance, peace, and sustainable development with a naturally occurring safety and security in our day to day interpersonal processes in our tongues and tribes differ.

Insincerity Pervades All Levels of Govt because......Prof. Olagoke

Prof 1Nigerians have continually expressed reservations over the  deliberate lack of sincerity among all those responsible for governance at all levels.
This has brought about several distortions in facts and figures in every sector of the economy. In this interview, the Founder, Spiritual Head, and Grand Imam, Shafaudeeen-in-Islam Worldwide, Prof. Sabitu Olagoke opines that Nigeria's history has brought in its wake insincerity in governance at all levels. Excerpts :

Why do you think the lack of sincerity is widespread cutting across all levels of governance in Nigeria?

In the past in Nigeria, ideological goals always mark the differences in political formations and the type of governance to be offered by any of the parties in charge of governance at any point in time.
The leadership of such parties in the past used to follow the concept of algebra equation, where only like terms can be added or subtracted.
People, therefore, joined political parties based on their beliefs and interests.
Political parties under these conditions were easy to manage by the leaders and issues of easy decampment from a political party to another based on seeking better grounds, was not all that common.
For example, when the world was chiefly divided into ideological goals of capitalism or socialism, progressives were known to be people-oriented, while the capitalists were regarded as conservative oppressors who cared less about the people but care more about the gains of business through political interests.
The sincerity of purpose was, therefore, the order of the day because the type of leaders was easily identified with the kind of governance they would ideologically offer.
In Nigeria, the evolutional trend of political governance starting from the days of the colonial masters, discipline was the order of the day and the common challenge was how to drive out the perceived white oppressors who were considered to be alien to continue to dominate our political, social and economic lives.

Pol 2
Though the hurting effects of tribalism and ethnicity were there, the common challenge of having a liberated nation formed out of the 1914 amalgamation preoccupied the united front formed by the founding fathers who struggled to fight for Nigeria's independence.
The culture of insincerity in governance then emerged because trust and loyalty had been murdered in the unfinished job of cleansing the nation through the bloody coup. The power struggle and power-sharing, therefore, became an issue of political hidden agenda as it reflected in the characteristic double tongues of the politicians and the emerging constitutions of 1979 and  1999 with which they were operating the governance agenda of the nation.
Lack of sincerity, therefore, became cultural and endemic affecting all spheres of our lives down to the core values of our integrity spreading over all agents of socialization-several homes are now formed through insincere pledges between intending couples, while along the line the sacredness of the institutions of marriages is put in danger.
Insincerity if not specifically addressed, may eventually reduce the quality of human capital down to the class of doubtful certification.
Insincerity in the religious terrain has led Nigerians into regrettable life of perversion because even religious leaders are found wanting of not been scripture compliant when the teacher is empty one can imagine the stuff their products are made of.
Nigerians are now thrown into the world of craze for material wealth and less spirituality.
The question of just worship and holiness ofGod now seem to be a mere waste of time by the few that care about the future of humanity because without God's divine intervention those who labor are doing so in vain. Is this not the basis for the various acts of terrorism, violence, and bloodshed?
How many of our houses of God can claim to still uphold the sacredness of religious sanctity when every one of us can attest to that most of these houses of God have become profane houses of promiscuities, iniquities, and havens of criminals. When Nigerians pass through the culture of insincerity to God, one can best imagine how the future of the next generation would look like.
The religious sphere is expected to cleanse the land of transgression and corrupt practices. A timely intervention by all stakeholders, the government, parents, teachers, professional bodies, religious leaders, and traditional rulers would do a lot of good for the country.
Suffice it now to say that a new Nigeria should emerge by offering necessary amendments to sectors that are ailing and the restructuring of the order of things beyond our considerations for mere material things. Only a nation built on the foundation of truth can survive the ordeals of life against all odds.

Oyo Ezendigbo-The Matter is still in Court-Eze(Dr.)Anozie

The Ezendigbo of Ibadan and Oyo state, Eze(Dr.) Alex Anozie insists that he is still the head of the  Igbos in Ibadan and Oyo state by virtue of the fact that there has not been any judgment  nullifying the judgment of the high court in his favor. Eze(Dr.)Anozie made this disclosure in a statement as follows :

''The matter is still in court like they rightly said. And a high court has given judgment in my favor as the authentic Head of Igbos in Ibadan and Oyo state. And my opponent appealed the case which is still in the Appeal Court and even the  Supreme court.''
''So I am sure His imperial Majesty who is the father to all of us he is trying to prove that he is a law-abiding monarch by saying let's allow the court to finish with the matter, the high court judgment stated that I should continue to parade myself as the Ezendigbo/Onyendu of Ibadan and Oyo state and that my opponent should stop parading himself as same and that no court has vacated the judgment up till this moment, be it appeal or supreme court. ''
''They, our opponent even applied for a stay of execution against the judgment but it was not granted. His Imperial Majesty, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, and his council-we respect them so much and we love them so much and I am happy that this is my 24th year as the head of my people in this part of the country and everybody is witness that I have been leading my people to live peacefully in Ibadan and Oyo state.''
''Our respect and love for the Olubadan cannot change. So, the case is still in court.
The court judgment in my favor still subsists. We are aware that some people are going about circulating lies against us, but God almighty who never fails can never be deceived. We are going to maintain the peace. They are only trying to show the world that they believe in the rule of law, Eze(Dr. ) Anozie concluded.

The Benefits of Believing in God 2

Prof 1The present state of affairs with mankind is that of the craze of material things and the total neglect of the need to build for self a clear state of spirituality whereby the words of God are respected and operationalized through the Scripture of the upheld religion.

This is the major reason why Jesus Christ was able to defeat Satan with his antics by refusing to take orders from Satan while at the same time rejecting its command to breakfast and turn stone into bread, but rather Jesus taught us all to be mindful of the need to prefer and work for spiritual diet, as contained in Mattew 4: 8-10.

Similarly, the Holy Quran submitted that only referred people by God are those who respect the ordinances of God and act on them to live by them as exemplars for others to follow(Quran 49:13).

Jesus Christ stated proverbially in Mark 4: 3-8,''Hearken; Behold, there went out a sower to sow: 4 And it came to pass, as he sowed, some fell by the wayside, and the fowls of the air came and devoured it up. 5And some fell on stony ground, where it had not much earth; and immediately it sprang up because it had no depth of earth: 6 But when the sun was up, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away. 7 And some fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up and choked it, and it yielded no fruit.8 And other fell on good ground, and did yield fruit that sprang up and increased; and brought forth, some thirty, and some sixty, and some a hundred.''

The seeds can be likened to the words of God, while the ground varies according to the texture, nutrients, and components that are of vital importance to the responses.

The rate of responsiveness to the stimuli of advice, counseling, sermons, and lectures differs from one individual to another. Some suffer from loss of memory or inability to retain and recall lessons taught, such people equally suffer from unnecessary distractions of life making the religion non-functional in them.

The above constitute the first category of those that attend religious houses.

The second category is those people without faith, but either coincidentally find themselves in the houses of God or are dragged there by perhaps, by their parents or influential friends. Much as they admire the sermon, it might not necessarily benefit them because they lack faith.

The third category is the set of people who live among bad friends or peers, whose influences would not make the word of God impact positively in them.

The fourth category is the set of people with the right background of discipline and respect for morality. Such people easily identify with the activities and teachings in the houses of God and of religious leaders as a good service to themselves with many benefits to others.

The first three categories mentioned above must brace up to have better orientation not to be recipients of the statement in Isaiah 6:9-10: ''9And he said, Go, and tell these people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not. 10Make the heart of these people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed. '' Such people are equally described in the Holy Quran 2: 18, ''Deaf, dumb and blind - so they will not return [to the right path].''

The Holy Quran 2: 6-10 equally warns us to be believers rather than people who reject faith or go contrary to the behavioral objectives of the Scripture: ''6. As for those who disbelieve—it is the same for them, whether you have warned them, or have not warned them—they do not believe.

7. God has set a seal on their hearts and on their hearing, and over their vision is a veil. They will have severe torment.

8. Among the people are those who say, “We believe in God and in the Last Day,” but they are not believers.

9. They seek to deceive God and those who believe, but they deceive none but themselves, though they are not aware.

10. In their hearts is sickness, and God has increased their sickness. They will have a painful punishment because of their denial.''

To be successful in life, there is a need for divine inspirational energy to drive every social desire according to the Chemistry of achievement, which is :

Altitude=Aptitude + Attitude

In religious parlance, Altitude is to achieve maximally the comforts of life as well as not losing the benefits of the hereafter(Quran 2: 201-202).

Aptitude represents efforts made in life to acquire wealth and status maximally to the point of power, influence, and affluence with assertive authority.

The benefits of believing in God cannot be overemphasized, but we can only achieve it through due process and the fear of God expected to manifest in our ability to do things accordingly and aright(Quran 3: 102 and John 4: 34).

The Essence of Religious Houses

ProfReligious houses are extensions of the human body. And it is a place where we must allow God to direct our affairs for us to maximally achieve our social desires.
Religious houses are usually dedicated to God for effective teamwork spirit and supplication onto God on the state of affairs to be promoted through peaceful co-existence for development to be sustainable and the wellness of the people to be achieved.
This is why the Holy Bible 1Cor. 3: 16-17, specifically charged every adherent in all religious systems to allow and dedicate onto God their bodies and their souls by working to achieve body preservation from sins and crimes.
''16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
''17 If any man defiles the temple of God, he shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.''

Note that sins, generally snowball into physical diabolic into the network of the Human justice system to take care of the resulting criminal activities that are left for the government or the society through due process for the erring person who could not control his emotions of sins and temperament of crimes usually land themselves into the general abuse of the society and the correctional centers or prisons of the government.

The Holy Bible also states in 1Cor 3: 18-19 that ''18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness, but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.''
''19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.''

In the same vein, the Holy Quran 24: 35-37, also presents the almighty Allah as incomparable light that can never become darkened and this powerful light is always residing in the body of the pious ones who fear God.
This glowing light in such man illuminates the whole body to radiate love to be able to take care of others and their environment. The Holy Quran 24: 36 states,'' That light shines˺ through houses ˹of worship˺ which Allah has ordered to be raised, and where His Name is mentioned. He is glorified there morning and evening.''
A clarification in verse 37 states ''by men who are not distracted—either by buying or selling—from Allah’s remembrance, or performing prayer, or paying alms-tax. They fear a Day when hearts and eyes will tremble.''
The question that follows now is to ask ourselves, are adherents of different religions Scripture compliant ? for every profession and academic attainment, the curriculum is sacrosanct. For Churches, Mosques, and other faith-based organizations, how far have we fared, to be able to live exemplary lifestyles with the Scriptures that are upholding our religious faith.
Let us all reflect on this, have a very good change of heart for every one of us to move forward to justify the presence of religious houses in our midst.

Effects of Institutional Indiscipline

Prof 1Leadership training for every human to be fit for governance must be based on these three keywords, competence essence, good work attitude, and ability to be responsive in taking responsibilities. Each one of them lacking in any person voted for or appointed would manifest greatly in the areas of efficiency rating for performances. Under this condition, if not checked, the environment would become charged negatively into that of institutional indiscipline which would make leaders and followers witness orgies of transgression, crimes, and endemic corruption.
This is exemplified in Proverbs 25: 28,'' A person that cannot control himself is like a city without walls to protect it.'' Would Nigerians and the Government learn from this on time?
The Holy Quran put straight the quality and standard for good governance as expressed in the Holy Quran  38: 26, using King David as head of Government that must receive and follow this admonition of the essence of good governance for the people's wellness to be achieved in order that there is peace, security, and sustainable development.
The Holy Quran  38: 26 refers,'' Oh David! We did indeed make the vicegerent on earth: so judge thou between men and truth and justice: nor follow thou the lust of thy heart, for it will mislead thee from the path of Allah: for those who wander astray from the path of Allah, is a Chastisement Grievous for that, they forget the day of account''.
Expectedly, Nigerian leaders who are either Christians or Muslims or from other faith-based organizations need to justify their adherence to their religious claim upon been evaluated, be in compliance with the above-stipulated governance standard and guide. This is because by ben fair upon evaluation in government, King David was blessed with a good successor, who even excelled him in performance and achievements, King Solomon who ruled by knowledge, wisdom, and a discerning mind.
Unfortunately, Nigeria's profile of governance along with its successive trend became fragmented into a questionable democracy, corruption-soaked meritocracy, and even a  mysterious philosophy or concept along all these lines. Nigeria lost its focus on the developmental trend and the bearing of governance. Here we are today,  the governance styles of most of our leaders could be likened to that of King Belshazzar, who was later visited by the writing on the wall on a very sad note of the beginning of the end.
Daniel 5: 22-28, refers, ''but Belshazzar you already knew these things! You are Nebuchadenezer's grandson. But still, you have not made yourself humble. Instead, you have turned against the Lord of heaven. You ordered the drinking cups from the Lord's temple to be brought to you. Then you and your wives and tour women servants drank wine from those cups. You gave praise to the gods of silver and gold, of bronze, iron, wood, and stone. Those are not really gods, they cannot see or hear or understand anything, but you did not give honor to the God who has the power over your life and everything you do, so because of that God sent the hand that wrote on the wall. These are the words that were written on the wall: Mene Mene Teke Perez, this is what these words mean: God has counted the days until your kingdom will end; Teke: you have been weighed on the scales and found not good enough; Perez: your kingdom is been taken from you. It would be divided among the Medes and Persians.''
Why has the land been continually impoverished, the cabal and the cartel from the political fold and business environment continued  to live in affluence without minding the focus of the United Nations behind the 17 point agenda for sustainable development, promotion of an inclusive society to take care of people with disabilities and women marginalization in the scheme of decision-making for a better Nigeria.
Divine admonition, therefore, to rescue the situation should be heeded to correct all these aberrations facilitated by institutional indiscipline.
The Holy Quran 57: 4 refers, a combination of SWOT analysis to identify our worth and smart application needs to be applied for correct interpretation of this verse of the Holy Quran,'' He it is Who created the heavens and the earth in six days(time-bound essence). Then he established himself on the throne, he knows what enters within the earth and what comes out of it(conservation of material essence). What comes down from heaven and what mounts up to it(the essence of transparency, auditing, and accountability). And He is with you wheresoever you may be(charges for all leaders to monitor and mentor those charged with the responsibilities for good service delivery through good work attitude and competence to do the job). And Allah sees well all you do.''
The Almighty Allah has role-modeled substances of due process for good governance which all of us must imbibe as a culture to drive the engine of development aright to the benefit of all in the name of promotion of inclusive society.  This is an antidote to poverty, corruption, and institutional indiscipline.

Affordable Waste Disposal Fees will Reduce Illegal dumping of Refuse-Prof. Olagoke

ProfThe Nigerian environment is confronted with a myriad of challenges including urban decay, squatter settlements, stack fumes, unregulated and grossly excessive automotive and related exhausts, and poor environmental sanitation habits.
The attitude of the government on issues of poor waste management and land-use practices, the use of obsolete and environmentally unfriendly technology and equipment, poor and non-functional waste management equipment, and deteriorating services by decaying infrastructure have contributed greatly to the worrisome situation at hand. In several communities in Nigeria, such as the  Olorunsogo, Molete area of Ibadan, Oyo state, residents dump refuse in private residences. Sadly, the interest of Government in consultants by some State Governments for the purpose of waste disposal has not helped matters.
In this interview, the Founder, Spiritual Head, and Grand Imam of Shafaudeen-in-Islam Worldwide, Prof Sabitu Olagoke says that when the Government makes waste disposal fees affordable, cases of illegal dumping of refuse would reduce.

In what ways do you think the Government at all levels can secure a quality environment adequate for good health and well being?
In Nigeria the enlightenment on best environmental practices is absent. The Government intervention in the areas of waste management needs to make use of sanitary inspectors to compulsorily go out with other members of the task force, not only to enforce the law but to regulate and control the exercises on a daily routine basis. It is natural for man to generate waste in his activities to survive through the natural experience of his physiological activities vis-a-vis food from raw materials processed into products to the consumption end. The production of every ware such as clothes, hides, and skin for shoes and other packaging materials as well as all the materials that constitute construction processes for human habitation, transportation. Pollution, therefore, can be experienced in three forms, air pollution which has to do with the respiratory system of humans, water pollution which happens to be the essentials of life for humans, and land pollution on which all human activities are carried out.
The Government must be sensitive to the challenges confronting the environment. Most often Nigerians are seen on the mountain heap of refuse and debris looking for spent materials to sell to those who may recycle, reuse, or those who will want to process them into waste minimization without using any safety or security protocols, such people may eventually become victims of pollution which if not treated may lead to a dire state.
At the domestic front, the government needs to make the reduction of indoor air pollution with house plants compulsory most especially at the grassroots level.
The Government through its agencies must discourage the absence of regulation and control by ensuring that the undermentioned industries outside residential areas, so as not to endanger people's lives-lead acid battery recycling, industrial mining, lead smelting, industrial/municipal dumpsites, industrial estates, chemical manufacturing and dye industry among several others.
Generally, we must all agree that the illegal dumping of refuse can cause beatification damage to the environment, hence the government must work on population growth, ignorance of the people, high level of waste production, fees for waste disposal, appropriate technology for waste disposal management and waste control.
The negative effects of the illegal dumping of refuse deserve attention.
States and Local Governments, therefore, need to collectively consider the health implications on the people to do the needful in combating the menace of the illegal dumping of refuse and poor waste management strategy.  Thye needs to involve members of the public in waste management, by counseling them to make reports of cases of the illegal dumping of refuse as well as ensuring that the law is enforced.
The Government must make waste disposal fees affordable, this would go a long way in eradicating illegal dumping of refuse.  The State and Local Governments must role model for ease of domestic practices, the three concepts of Reduction, Recycling, and Reuse.
Nigerian have to move from conservative and dirty habits to an environmentally friendly attitude.
