The Ezendigbo of Ibadan and Oyo state, Eze(Dr.) Alex Anozie has declared that the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Lekan Balogun, Alli Okunmade II, deserves the
award of the Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic (CFR) Conferred on him by former President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd).
Eze(Dr.) Anozie, who is also the chairman of the state chapter of the Association of Non-Indigenes Heads, made this decalration on recently in Ibadan, Nigeria
''I and my people, Ohanezenidgbo, and all non-indigenes in Ibadan and Oyo state appreciate the honor done to the Olubadan. He merits it because he is a peace-loving Olubadan, who loves all ethnic groups, all Nigerians residing in Ibadan. The Olubadan deserves it. I am therefore congratulating him and all Ibadan indigenes, because if the Olubadan gets something good, he has gotten it for himself and the whole Ibadan and vice versa. So, I am congratulating him. He is a very kind, humble and God-fearing person, who believes in truth, justice and fairness,'' Eze(Dr.) Anozie stated.
In another development, he admonished new political office holders at all levels of government to administer and oversee the affairs of those that elected them with the fear of God.
''Let them have the fear of God in everything they do. My good will message to all political office holders from top to bottom is for them to work for a truly united Nigeria where truth, justice, equity, fairness and peace reign supreme. Nigerians should love one another, not minding their ethnic and religious differences. This is the foundation. If we work hard, the sky is our limit,''Eze(Dr) Anozie noted.

Leaders of ethnic groups in Nigeria have been called upon to warn their members to desist from making unguarded statements.
This call was made by the Ezendigbo of Ibadan and Oyo state, who is also the chairman of the A\ssociation of Non-Indigienes Traditional Heads in the state, Eze(Dr.) Alex Anozie in a Facebook post on his timeline.

''All ethnic groups in Nigeria should talk to and caution their careless talkers in the interest of our country, Nigeria.''
Advice to Town Unions and Associations
My advice to members of town unions in Oyo state and other places is that they should shine their eyes and make sure they attend meetings regularly and be carried along with what is going on in their meetings. They should not just leave everything to the leadership alone, because there are situations, wherein, in some town union meetings/association meetings, some, not all, of them, their leadership has been bought over by some people who may not be willing to do the right thing in society, because of their selfish interests and their leadership, on the fact that they have been bought over would now keep on misleading the union or association into doing the wrong things, instead of the right things.
The leadership now overshadow them, and in the process, follows the union derails and follows the wrong track which may even be unlawful, which eventually becomes a risk to the peace of society. For instance, an association or town union can critically look into any matter and agree on the way they want to go, the majority, and they commence on that journey.
Now along the way, some of their leaders are bought over either with contracts, patronage or whatever. These forces that bought them over, are forces who want to destroy their agreement on the way they are going.
Now the leadership decides to derail their agreed movement, thereby causing trouble within the group and society at large.
So, if any town union or association wants to choose their leaders, they should be leaders with integrity, selflessness and the fear of God, not long-throated leaders.
So, they should try to make sure that they know what is going on in their town union or association meetings.

The death of the President General of Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide, Prof. George Obiozor has continued to attract reactions from Nigerians from all walks of life. In his reaction, the Eze Ndigbo of Ibadan and Oyo state, Eze(Dr.) Alex Anozie describes the death of the President General as a very painful loss to Igbos and Nigerians in general.
Excerpts: It is really painful to us, it is painful, very very painfully.I, on behalf of myself, my family, Ohaneze Ndigbo and all the Igbos in Ibadan and Oyo state send out our heartfelt condolences to the family and Ohaneze Ndigbo generally, on his demise.
It is worrisome, anyway, that Ohaneze Ndigbo will, at this point in time, begin to search for a replacement for the President General. It is really painful. It is really painful.
As I begin to think deeply, it is not a very good one, not so palatable that our prominent leaders are just passing on like that. Chief Mbazuruike Amaechi made a request to the Federal Government and pleaded with the government to, please, grant his request while he was still alive.
That request was not granted until he died. Now, the President General of Ohaneze Ndigbo, also joined in making such a request, has also died and the request was not granted.
We are pained. These are people who also believe in a truly united Nigeria, where justice, equity and fairness should reign.
And all of us believe that if justice, equity and fairness reign in this country, 75 per cent of the problems of this country will fizzle out.
So, we pray the almighty God to bless his soul and give the Igbos, the world over, and country the fortitude to bear the great loss.

The national leadership of the Ohaneze Ndigbo has been called upon to curtail the activities of those who have continued to downgrade personalities in Igboland.
This call was made recently, by the Ezechukwujiegosioluebube nala Ibadan and Oyo state, Eze(Dr.) Alex Anozie at the Igbo day celebration in Ibadan, Oyo state, Nigeria.
''Let me also appreciate the Ohaneze worldwide leadership, ably led by Professor George Obiozo and his dynamic team, for their selfless service they are doing to Ndigbo worldwide. May the good Lord bless and guide them always in all their efforts towards serving Ndigbo better. Please your administration should try to checkmate this rising wave of P.H.D-Pull Him Down Syndrome-which has rubbished the integrity of the Igbo race.''
Eze(Dr.) Anozie also commended the Federal Government for completing the second Niger bridge, saying, ''Let me thank the Federal Government for the completion of the second Niger bridge. I am so happy, that it was on this ground, Liberty stadium of Ibadan, that while I was reading my address in year 2002 in the presence of our very dear father, leader and brother, Chief Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, as he was our special guest in that year's Igbo day like we are doing today, that I first voiced out, calling on the Federal Government to construct a second Niger bridge, I was the first Nigerian to officially make that request to the Federal Government, before others joined. I thank God, and I am so happy that it has become a reality. To God be the glory.''
''Let me quickly join respectable voices who have continued to appeal to the Federal Government to release our son Nnamdi Kanu, as ruled by the courts. I am among those who believe that political solution can resolve that issue once and for all, particularly when the security of lives and property, justice, equity and fairness begins to reign in society. ''I am joining other Nigerians to call for peaceful, free and fair elections in 2023. I am appealing to our politicians to please try playing politics without bitterness, that people who belong to different political parties should not force Nigerians to become enemies. The Federal government should do everything very sincerely in allowing the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) to conduct free and fair elections. I am still very optimistic that Nigeria can still be fixed, '' if'' God gives us, God-fearing leadership. Thank God, all the presidential candidates contesting are all good materials. I appeal to whoever God chooses among the presidential candidates and gives us, Nigerians, that we should obediently give him every required support to succeed. To my people Ndigbo in Ibadan and Oyo state-Please continue to live in peace and harmony with your fellow Nigerians and Non-Nigerians who are living peacefully in the state.''

I, Eze Ndigbo of Ibadan and Oyo state, His Royal Highness, Eze(Dr.) Alex Anozie, the chairman, of the Non-Indigenes Traditional Council, Oyo state, and Ohaneze Ndigbo, Oyo state heartily welcome our brother, Mr. Peter Obi, and his running mate Alhaji Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, as they arrive for the presidential campaigns in Oyo state.
We trust God that all shall go well in peace, order, and success.
I am personally happy that the electioneering campaigns across the country ought to be peaceful and I am calling on all bonafide Nigerians to ensure that everything about the forthcoming elections ends in peace.
As I have always stated, we should learn to play politics without bitterness. Let's make political campaigns fun.
All presidential candidates going across the country should be able to campaign peacefully in any part of the country.
I am appealing to all Nigerians to approach the 2023 general election with the mindset of the fear of God, justice, fairness, and equity in mind while casting our votes for God to give us the best candidate.

This call was made by Ezeigbo, Ezechukwujiegosioluebube nala,Ibadan and Oyo state and Chairman Non-indigenous Traditional Heads, Oyo state, Eze(Dr.) Alex Anozie in a chat.
''Any person or persons working towards dividing us ,Ndigbo, the more, are not true friends of Ndigbo, and that may not be the final resolution of whatever misunderstanding they think we are having. As a matter of fact, we no longer have any misunderstandings, as the courts have been courageous enough to see the truth and ensure that justice prevails. Every lover of peace and Ndigbo should be courageous as well to tell those who have refused to obey the court judgments to simply obey them, to enable us sit as brothers we are and finally resolve the whole issue peacefully, all in the interest of peace in the state. These people have applied various destructive tricks in the past, all in their efforts to say no to what God has said yes, but all collapsed. Whatever they are doing again now to go against God's wish will surely collapse again,'' Eze(Dr.)Anozie stated.
I Fight to Defend Truth and Justice-Eze(Dr.)Anozie

In Nigeria presently, the people desire leaders that shall inspire them in these challenging times.
But unfortunately, such leaders are yet to emerge. Indeed, a number of them have led their people astray to the extent that disillusionment, hopelessness and bitterness are now their lot.
In this interview with Federationews2day,the Ezendigbo of Ibadanand Oyo state,Eze(Dr.)AlexAnozie says tha his guiding light is truth and justice. Excerpts :
What is your philosophy of life ?
The first message on my philosophy of life and that is what has been guiding me is loving God, trusting God, and God alone.
This is in addition to loving my fellow human beings and my neighbors, irrespective of their religion, their ethnic affiliation, and their status in the society-rich or poor, literate or illiterate, I love everybody.
But those who are my best friends are those who believe in the truth and justice in every situation.
If I am confronted with any problem or worrisome situation with any individual, it is because I fight to defend truth and justice. These are the key ingredients that make up my philosophy of life.
In addition, I accord respect to everybody, irrespective of social or economic status, particularly when such a person is in that line of truth and justice. I respect such persons so much. Why, because before God, all of us are equal and everybody is important, even the foolish man or foolish woman is important, so I respect everybody. It may interest you to know that for the past 45 years or thereabout, I have been in this part of Nigeria, Ibadan, Oyo state, watching over my business and other areas, I cannot remember any day I had an exchange of dirty words with anybody, be it my friends, my neighbors, patients/customers. I cannot remember exchanging dirty words with anyone.
Everybody is free to make inquiries, whether I am saying the truth or telling lies. It is not because I am perfect in all I do, because it is only God that is perfect in everything He does. It may be it is because I tolerate and endure reasonably enough. These are among the aspects that make up my philosophy of life.
philosophy of life.
And I think, one of the things that make this to be possible is that I always meditate on one of the commandments of God, that states, 'Love Thy Neighbor as Thyself.'' So, I make sure that I put it into practice as much as possible.
And you know what, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob is my God. As He was God to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, so He is God to me. As He was God to Joseph, so He is God to me. As He was God to Moses, so He is God to me. As He was God to King David, so He is God to me. As He was God to King Solomon, so He is God to me.
All these great men of God went through several travails, my travails are nearly similar to theirs.
However, one aspect that is very worrisome to me, is that human beings have transformed from the human beings they ought to be to something else. Human beings are now killing one another. Human beings are now destroying one another, to the extent that it seems that animals value life more than human beings do.
Quotes By Eze(Dr.) Alex Anozie :
1)Do Good always. But, where you can do nod good, Do No Evil.
2)In every situation try to make a decision, for not taking any decision is another failure altogether.
3)Take risk only when there is no alternative.
4)The right time to do the right thing is all the time, then, all becomes well all the time

Use NNPC Profits to Build Quality Hospitals-Eze(Dr.)Anozie

Press Release
The Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation(NNPC) first audited financial statements after 43 years of its operation this period and as never been in the years past, I am suggesting that the federal government should make use of it, if not all, part of it, to construct those particular types of hospitals found abroad that lures almost all Nigerians into traveling abroad for treatment.
Such should be constructed in these six geo-political zones, one for each zone. Exactly the types of hospitals and facilities that could be found overseas.
In addition, the government should encourage our well-qualified Nigerian medical Doctors and specialists, to come back to the country to render their expert services in those hospitals.
Expatriates specialists should also be employed to work there. The elite, political class, and other categories of Nigerians would be treated in these hospitals. It is possible. By so doing, we would have invested very well in this profits accruing to the NNPC.
But I am worried about the mindset of the medical Doctors and specialists considering the unabating insecurity in the country, they may be afraid to come to the country.
Finally, let us all join hands together to pray fervently and ceaselessly for peace and unity while the Government at all levels should do everything possible to put an end to the insecurity in the country, to make the above laudable suggestions possible.
When all these have been done, you can imagine the humungous amount the country would save from medical tourism, foreign exchange wise.
Signed

Give Ndigbo Opportunity to Produce Next President-Vice President Ezendigbo in Diaspora(South)

As the debate among Nigerians on the geo-political zone the next President of the country should come from in 2023, the Ezendigbo of Ibadan and Oyo state, who is also the Vice President, Ezendigbo in Diaspora(South) and the Chairman, Non-Indigenes Traditional Heads in Oyo State, Eze(Dr.) Anozie opines that the Igbos should be given the opportunity to produce the next President in 2023. Excerpts ;
Why do you think the next President of Nigeria should come from the South East?
In the interest of justice, fairness, the true unity of the country, peace, and tranquility, I suggest, I appeal, and I plead with Nigerians, all political parties in Nigeria to pick their presidential candidate from the South East. It would go a very long way to soothe frayed nerves and douse the tension in the country. I am not saying this because I am from the South East, even if I am not from the South East, I would still say this. So what I am saying is in the interest of Nigeria, the peace of the country, the unity of the country and I believe that everybody that calls himself or herself a good Christian or Muslim should support the call for the next President to come from the South East and if such happens, all the agitations here and there shall by 50 percent fizzle out. And by so doing, Igbos would like to show their stuff and what they can do. They would like to set a pace in the governance of Nigeria.
And I know that some other people who are showing interests, other Nigerians showing interests from different parts of the country may also be good materials for the position, but we are pleading with them to be considerate and look at the Igbos and all their contributions in the whole country Nigeria and give us the opportunity to lead this country. My mind is telling me, my spirit within, my God is telling me that when such happens Nigeria would begin to breathe a brand new life.
I am one of those who believe that Nigeria is a beautiful country, if justice, fair play, equity, and the security of lives and property of every Nigerian is assured for everybody to have a sense of belonging for good leadership to be put in place. To this extent, everything should be done to ensure justice, equity, and fair play. These are the only things that would make all ethnic groups want to remain in Nigeria, so by the time the South Eats has finished its tenure in governance, power should move up to the North, a part of the North from where a President has never emerged and when they finish with their tenure, power should move down to the South again and that would be the South West and so on and so forth.
And Nigerians will not accept any military coup all this while. Everything should be done to ensure that there is no military coup because Nigerians will say no.
Agitations for Self-Determination Shall Cease if........-Nationa Vice Chairman(South)Ezendigbo in the Diaspora

Self-determination groups in Nigeria shall discontinue their agitations when injustice, insecurity, inequality, and imbalances in political appointments are addressed.
This assertion was made by the Ezendigbo of Ibadan and Oyo state, who also doubles ad the National Vice Chairman (South) of Ezendigbo in the diaspora, Eze(Dr.) Alex Anozie.
''Deceit, injustice, insecurity, imbalances in political appointments, and inequality gave birth to the Indigenous People of Biafra(IPOB). If all these shortcomings are addressed their agitation shall fizzle out. IPOB is a pressure group fighting for justice and fighting against injustice in Nigeria''.
If all the above mentioned are addressed, I am sure IPOB will not continue with its agitation. I suspect that IPOB may not continue with their agitation if the shortcomings are addressed. Circumstance brought about IPOB. If care is not taken those people who claim to love Nigeria more than IPOB may be wrong. If justice is done in Nigeria, every group is happy, all religions are happy and all Nigerians are happy IPOB may not go ahead with their agitations'', Eze(Dr.) Anozie stated.
Coronavirus : Govt Should Enforce the use of Face masks-Vice President(South)Ezendigbo in Diaspora

The Federal and State Governments have been called upon to enforce the use of face masks in public places to stem the increasing cases of coronavirus in Nigeria.
This call was made by the Ezendigbo of Ibadan and Oyo state, who also doubles as the Vice President (South) Ezendigbo in Diaspora.
‘’The Federal and state Governments should enact an executive order to ensure the effectiveness of the fight against the coronavirus pandemic. It is a welcome development that the Federal and state Governments have relaxed the lock down a bit, but I suggest that the Government should enforce the use of face mask by anyone leaving home for the public’’.
‘’Anyone going to the market should put on face mask. Okada riders and their passengers should also put on face masks. Nobody should be exempted, all Nigerians should be compelled to put on face masks, given the fact that they are out in the public. Anyone caught in the public without face mask should be penalized, irrespective of the individual’s status in the society‘‘.
‘’This is for the good of all and sundry. It is noticeable that the coronavirus cases are on the increase daily all over the country, therefore urgent measures must be put in place to curtail the spread. A fine of between N1,000 and N5,000 should be made for those who violate the order, this will ensure full compliance. Anybody that is not ready to pay the fine should be prosecuted in the law court. The restriction of movement of people from one part of the country to the other, and one state to the other is still on, but thousands of able bodied young men, excluding women and children, are on a daily basis, been secretly moved from one part of the country to the other. This is suspicious. People are gripped with fear all over the country, all is not well’’.
‘’The Federal Government should allay the fears of Nigerians that there is no hidden motive behind this movement of able bodied men from one part of the country to the other, by making a nation wide address. It is not the best for Government to be silent during this period. State Governors should continue to address people in the states on a weekly basis, appealing to them to see the need to obey the orders for the good of everyone, until the coronavirus pandemic is over. They should do this with maturity and with firm resolve to remind the people of the dangers inherent in flouting the order and the consequences for flouting the order. Look at the streets, only very few people are moving about in the public with face masks, majority are out there without face masks, this is very dangerous’’.
‘’In Rivers state, I like Governor Nyesome Wike for been a Governor of action and discipline, but I also feel that the bulldozing of two hotels by the Governor is an action taken too far.
It would have been better if he had acted with human face by either sealing up the hotel or seeking legal redress, the bulldozing of the hotels is unchristian like. If he had sealed up the property or sought legal redress, it would have been better’’, Eze(Dr)Anozie concluded.

Government at all levels have been advised to ensure governance is anchored on the all inclusive principle.
The Ezendigbo of Ibadan and Oyo state Eze and the Vice President(Southern zone)Association of Ezendigbo in Diaspora(Dr.)Alez Anozie gave this advice in a chat with Federationews2day.
‘’When government at all levels is all inclusive, it will go a long way in uniting the country and it will also go a long way in making people to have confidence in the true unity of Nigeria’’, Eze(Dr.)Anozie asserted.
Similarly, a statement by Eze(Dr.)Anozie disclosed that the President of the Association of Ezendigbo in Diaspora, Eze Ibekwe called on Igbos in the 36 states and Abuja to be law abiding.
Eze Ibekwe, according to the statement, made this call in Ibadan, during the general meeting of all the recognized Ezendigbos residing outside the South East Geo-Political zone in Ibadan.
The statement further said that the Chief Host, Eze (Dr.) Anozie was earlier on hand to receive members of the association at his palace in Ososami, after which they proceeded on a courtesy visit to the Olubadan of Ibadanland’s palace.
It also said that both the executives and members of the association and the Olubadan gave assurances of mutual cooperation and peaceful co existence among the two tribal groups.
